Licensed Psychologist
Certified Group Psychotherapist
Bienvenidos! I believe in the healing power of psychotherapy that promotes healing and growth. I believe in psychotherapy that honors the complexities of our identities and diverse experiences. As a Latina/Chicana Psychologist, I firmly believe that you deserve to work with someone who understands and affirms your Latinx identities and your Latinx culture. I am founder of the Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy, group practice dedicated to providing culturally-affirming, decolonized psychotherapy to the Latinx and BIPOC communities.

I provide individual therapy and group therapy to adults. As a native Spanish-speaker, I also provide bilingual (Spanish/English) psychotherapy. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in my practice. My practice is sex-positive, trauma-informed, weight inclusive, and affirming of folks from LGBTQ, Kink and Poly/Multi-amory communities.

Seeking help in one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself. You may be wondering what therapy will be like, how you will react, and whether the experience will be helpful and meaningful to you. I’ve provided extensive information about my practice on this website with the hope of demystifying the therapy process. If you resonate with what you read on these pages, I invite you to contact me today to schedule an initial consultation.

Therapy for Psychotherapists
Perhaps You Are:
-
A high-functioning person that doesn't typically ask for help--in fact, folks usually come to YOU for help, but now you're feeling stuck...
-
An accomplished, professional - but still struggle with the sense of being an impostor or a fraud...
-
Giving your all to everyone and everything, but are neglecting your own needs in the process...
-
Perceived as confident and competent, as though you have everything together. but internally, you are struggling with self-doubt, loneliness, or insecurities...
If you resonated with any of the statements, my services can help! I am passionate about helping folks develop healthier relationships with themselves and with others. Therapy can help you remove the barriers in your life that are keeping you from being the best person you can be in your relationships so that you can create a life that feels more meaningful and congruent with your values--the life you've been dreaming about.

Maybe You Are:
-
Feeling exhausted by continued efforts to prove yourself as an equal or good enough in comparison to your white peers or co-workers
-
Growing weary and fatigued by the seemingly endless microaggressions or racist experiences that you experience
-
Feeling misunderstood or missed by others who do not see the complexity of your intersectional identities

As Latinx professional, I know first-hand the unique stressors that Latinx face as they navigate the challenges living and working in a society that is embedded in systemic oppression. Using a collaborative, integrative therapeutic approach, we will makes use of both my personal and professional experiences as a Latina, my extensive clinical experience working with Latinx, AND your unique set of strengths and resources. My culturally-responsive interventions honor the cultural practices, traditions, and creativity that have enabled Latinx communities to overcome oppression and build resilience.
